Why is it difficult to get the kindling in my heater to start burning? (The fire smolders)

  • Open the bypass and air control (see owners manual for operation).
  • Not enough starter paper – use additional newspaper if necessary.
  • If the flame is not getting enough air, a small crack in the door is all that is needed.
